What is Indian Idol ?

Indian Idol is one of the very famous musical show on Indian Televison which is adopted from American contest Show “American Idol”

American idol was a big hit in America and therefore Sony TV bought the idea and launched it in Indian TV Industry and named it INDIAN IDOL.

The purpose of this TV show is to find out the best singing talent from India.

The winner of 2005 Indian Idol show was Abhijeet Sawant and this year’s Indian Idol is said to NC Karunya.

To remind you, Karunya is an South Indian (from Hyderabad)

    Actually both indian idol and american idol were spin-offs from the United Kingdom’s “Pop Idol” series, so i think this information should be changed as it is false.
